Hi, I'm James
WHERE I COME FROM
I was born and bred in Crittenden County. I am a native of West Memphis and proud to call this my home and everyone here family. I come from a large family where I am a father, son, brother, grandfather, friend, and so much more. A dedicated community leader and advocate, I have had the privilege of serving the citizens and the City of West Memphis for almost 30 years. I am a hardworking entrepreneur with solid values, principles, and integrity.

A THRIVING CAREER
I have served in the United States Marine Corps, and I am a retired Sergeant First Class from the United States Army. As a teen, I didn't wait to be drafted; I volunteered to enlist because I wanted to serve my country and my fellow Americans. In my role as a military serviceman, I learned discipline, practical leadership skills, and the ability to remain focused. I am a recipient of two Bronze Stars. I have had a thriving career, I am a retired Crittenden County Deputy Sheriff, and a retired US Postal Service Worker. In addition, I have served as a Vice President of the East Arkansas Family Health Center Board.

I believe in West Memphis, all that it is, all that it has been, and all that it will be. I love this community wholeheartedly, with no reservations. I firmly believe that we are not just a community, but a family, and family is loyal, honest, and dedicated. Family takes care of one another unconditionally. We are West Memphis, and we are family; we live, learn, and we grow together through the same opportunities.
The opportunities are unlimited for the citizens and the City of West Memphis. As we have proven, our West Memphis community is resilient and very strong. Our history has shown that renewed and refreshed, we as a community can rise. Together we have rebuilt from the burning ashes and devastating storms that have ripped through our core. We are West Memphis! Together we can build West Memphis into the great community that it is meant to be, overflowing with opportunity.
